Repossession
Directed by Emma-Jane Heaton & Frankie Currie
A young woman is questioned following the death of her family.
Willow is devastated by the tragic loss of her family, but during questioning, it becomes apparent that something isn't quite right.
Using still images to tell the story of the family's demise; from hopeful and happy moving into the new house, making it their own and bringing it back to life with the care and attention all old places need, to the haunting changes and eventual tragic accidents that claimed their lives, Repossession explores grief and the need to be loved through a supernatural lens.
Director's Statement
"Repossession started with the stills. We wanted to be able to tell a story through still images, but knew that was only half of it. Influences came from Long Legs, Frankie's love of detective stories, and my obsession with hauntings, and came to the question, what if it was the house itself that was doing the haunting?"
